In the first half of 2025 (January to June), Panasonic's sales and profits in China increased by 113% and 109% year-on-year, respectively. Among them, sales of general-purpose sensors increased by 38% year-on-year.

In the Chinese market, Panasonic's sensor business, based on the "3S Strategy," has achieved fully localized operation from planning and R&D to production and sales. Specifically, this manifests in establishing a Chinese team for product planning, achieving data and quality control through localized R&D management, and ensuring local supply, production, and delivery, except for core components, to strengthen delivery capabilities and service networks.

Globally, Panasonic has established a global production capacity deployment. For example, the Moriyama plant in Japan has built a fully automated MEMS sensor production line, and the Suzhou base in China has achieved localized production of industrial vision sensors. Meanwhile, Panasonic actively builds technology alliances, such as collaborating with Infineon to develop automotive-grade millimeter-wave radar sensors, and joining the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) to participate in industry standard setting.

In terms of product and market strategy, Panasonic focuses on markets such as consumer electronics manufacturing and semiconductor equipment. It launched six new products in 2024 and plans to launch another 10 products in fiscal year 2025, including the already launched liquid cut-off and bubble-absorbing sensors.
