Safety Precautions

Power off for maintenance whenever possible. Avoid hot-swapping connectors to prevent damage to internal circuitry.

Do not reverse wiring: DC24V has + and - terminals; do not reverse them.

Monthly Maintenance (Simplest, No Disassembly Required)

Lens Cleaning (Most Important)

Wipe the lens/lens with a clean cloth:

Remove dust, oil, metal shavings, water vapor, and cutting fluid.

Dirty lenses directly cause: no sensing, erratic operation, and reduced range.

Check Indicator Lights

Power Light: Constantly On

Signal Light: Only illuminates when an object is present, off when no object is present

No light, constantly on, or flashing = Fault.

Check Wiring and Plugs

Wires should be free of damaged insulation, breaks, clamps, or oil contamination.

Plugs should be secure, dry, and free of oxidation.

Check Installation and Fixation

Switch and bracket should be secure, not tilted, and not vibrating or shifting.

For through-beam types: Transmitter and receiver should not be misaligned.

Standard maintenance (6 months to 1 year)

Deep cleaning

Wipe the lens, housing, cables, and plugs thoroughly clean.

For heavy oil stains, use anhydrous alcohol and a lint-free cloth; do not scrape with hard objects.

Tighten all screws

Tighten all bracket screws and lock nuts.

Add anti-loosening nuts to areas subject to significant vibration.

Calibrate the optical axis (mandatory for through-beam/mirror type)

Through-beam type: Transmitter and receiver aligned, no deviation

Mirror type: Reflector clean, not crooked, not detached

Optical axis deviation → Unstable signal, intermittent

Check sensing distance and sensitivity

Do not use the maximum distance range; leave a margin for stability.

For sensitivity knobs:

If it jumps around erratically, decrease the setting; if it doesn't sense anything, increase the setting.

Interference prevention check

Keep away from inverters, contactors, and strong magnetic fields from large cables.

Avoid direct sunlight and lighting (can trigger false alarms).

Ground the shielded cable at one end to reduce interference.

Check background interference (diffuse reflection type)

No walls, metal, or reflectors behind the device,

Otherwise, it will keep lighting up even when there are no objects.
